On August 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable, the City Council for the City of Tampa, Florida, shall conduct a public hearing in City Council Chambers, 315 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33602, to consider the adoption of a non-ad valorem assessment roll for a 2026 (FY2027) non-ad valorem (special) assessment for certain properties located within the Westshore area of the City of Tampa, the boundaries of which are identified on the map included in this notice.
The assessment, which has been in place since 2002 and is renewed annually by Tampa City Council, provides dedicated funding for enhanced transportation, security, and marketing initiatives for the District to continue strengthening the area’s vitality and property values.
The proposed 2026 (FY2027) special assessment will be based upon an assessment rate of $0.1325 per $1,000 of assessed value of each benefitted parcel of property subject to the assessment, which will generate approximately $892,807 in total revenue for the 2027 Fiscal Year (FY) to be used to pay for certain enhanced services and improvements in the Westshore area of the City of Tampa.
