Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33602, in person or via Communications Media Technology (CMT) to consider the adoption of a non-ad valorem assessment roll for a 2021 (FY2022) non-ad valorem assessment within the Westshore area of the City of Tampa, the boundaries of which are identified on the map included in this notice.
The proposed 2021 (FY2022) special assessment will be based upon an assessment rate of $0.1325 per $1,000 of assessed value and will generate approximately $699,583 in total revenue for 2021 (FY2022) to be used to pay for transportation improvements, marketing, and security services for the Westshore area of the City of Tampa. The assessment will be collected by the tax collector as part of real property owners’ ad-valorem tax bills.
Failure to pay the assessment will cause a tax certificate to be issued against the property, which may result in a loss of title.
All affected property owners may participate at the public hearing above or virtually through communications media technology available at https://www.tampa.gov/PublicComment or may file written objections with the City Council within twenty (20) days of this published notice. Please include your name and parcel number on all correspondence and address as follows: Revenue and Finance, Budget Officer, Comments to Non-Ad Valorem Assessments, 306 E.
