On August 25, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable, the City Council for the City of Tampa, Florida, shall conduct a public hearing in City Council Chambers, 315 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33602, to consider the adoption of a non-ad valorem (special) assessment roll for a 2022 (FY 2023) non-ad valorem (special) assessment within the Westshore area of the City of Tampa, the boundaries of which are identified on the map included in this notice.
The assessment, which has been in place since 2002 and is renewed annually by Tampa City Council, provides dedicated funding for enhanced transportation, security, and marketing initiatives for the District to continue strengthening the area’s vitality and property values. The proposed assessment rate is $0.1325 per $1,000 assessed value, the same as the previous year, and will raise approximately $792,662 for these services.
