Safety + Security Meeting: Hurricane Re-Entry Program & FEMA Flood Map Updates
Wednesday, April 10, 2019 (8:30 AM - 9:45 AM) (
EDT
)
Description
In partnership with the City of Tampa Office of Emergency Management and Hillsborough County, we invite you to join us
to learn more about the new City of Tampa Hurricane Re-Entry Program
and FEMA preliminary flood map updates
for the coastal areas of Hillsborough County, including Tampa.
The
City of Tampa Hurricane Re-Entry Program
is for residents and businesses in the areas most likely to be evacuated during a hurricane event. It is designed to make it easier for residents and business representatives to re-enter the area after evacuation orders have been lifted.
FEMA has
released preliminary flood map updates
for the coastal areas of Hillsborough County, including Tampa. The new maps are based on updated data and technology and reflect new development and changes in shoreline over the past 30 years. The map changes generally impact the areas west of I-75 in southern Hillsborough County, south of I-275 and Tampa International Airport in Tampa, south of Linebaugh Avenue in Town ‘N Country, and near the lower Hillsborough, Alafia, and Little Manatee rivers.
